How PilotApps Came About
It all started with CS Production SA — a videography and photography business run by a permanent full-time flight instructor. As rewarding as the work was, the reality of travelling constantly and making field arrangements made it increasingly difficult to sustain alongside a full-time flying career.
So, during free time between flying, the journey into software development began — learning to build basic web-based SaaS products with a clear goal: to offer clients affordable tools that automate tasks and make everyday work easier and more convenient. What started as curiosity grew into a real craft, and PilotApps was born.
The name PilotApps carries two meanings. On the surface, it's simple — a pilot making apps. But there's a second layer: like the pilot episode of a series, it marks the start of a season. Every client we work with is at the beginning of their own growth story, and we're here to support that journey with constant improvement over time.

PilotApps is a lekker local freelance development brand run by a solo developer. We offer custom websites, cloud-based SaaS products and complete business identity packages — built, branded, hosted and fine-tuned end-to-end, without the overhead of an agency.
All in-house products are cloud-based SaaS products sold as monthly subscriptions based on complexity, starting from R50 p.m. Every product starts with a free demo that you can comment on and customize, followed by a 30-day free trial. After the trial, you opt in to subscribe or cancel — no lock-in, no hard feelings. Basic sites carry basic pricing; more advanced sites have higher pricing — and we're always open to discussing a monthly budget that works for you.
Every product we build is yours — brand it, use it, even resell it for a return on your investment if you want (at your own risk). We keep making improvements as you go along, and your domain is registered through Domains SA and included in your subscription fee.
Beyond software, we offer a Business Package — a complete business identity including vector logo design, branding, and digital setup to launch your idea from scratch. We also sell Pre-Made Websites on an all-inclusive monthly subscription that covers hosting, domain (registered via Domains SA) and maintenance, so you get a professional online presence without the upfront cost.
PilotApps is the parent development brand behind a number of digital products and projects. Each product — such as PilotApp, AeroSnag,AeroSafe, and AeroBooking — is developed and operated under the PilotApps umbrella, with its own purpose, audience and identity.
